What is DBH Tape

3. Pull the Tape Snug (Not Tight)
   The tape should be snug against the bark without compressing it.

4. Read the Diameter Directly
   Read the value where the zero end meets the scale. The number shown is the diameter, not the circumference.

5. Record the Measurement
   For trees with irregular shapes or buttresses, follow standard forestry guidelines to adjust the measurement point.
